The Best Cornbread

This will be all that's left!


If you are looking for something crumbly, flavorful, and slightly sweet, this is the perfect comfort food for you! Enjoy this down-home, from-scratch, fool-proof recipe.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 cups flour
  • 3/4 cup cornmeal
  • 4 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 3 tablespoons butter, melted

Directions

    Sift dry ingredients.

    Add milk, egg, and butter.

    Beat well and bake in an 8 inches greaed pan in a hot oven, 400 degrees Fahrenheit, 30-40 minutes.

    You can also make miniature cornbreads in a muffin tin and bake for 15 minutes.
