Learning to Fail

My first "vlog post". You might think it's awful, but that just proves my point!

  1. Abby,

Wow! This is truly something new and different for you. If I may, I'd like to share some of my thoughts about the vlog with you:

1- I thought what you had to say was very candid and insightful.
2- Is your tendency toward perfection only for yourself or do you find yourself projecting that on others as well? Are the standards you have/had as high for others as they are/were for you?
3- The video was just fine but I did have a difficult time hearing you. Granted, I am working off of a laptop so my speakers are small, but still had to put on the headset to effectively hear. Other than maybe a little better mic, I think you're good to go!
4- As with anything, remember to always guard your heart. Letting people in is okay, but never forget to keep a wall around your essense. One day, Mr. Right will come along... then you can let that drawbridge down. What you shared was perfectly fine-- that was just for future reference. :)
5- You're a very lovely young lady and the video captured that! So pretty!

    Yours in Christ,

  2. What a neat blog! I am also a blogger ( I would be honored if you would check my site out and say hello. Thanks and God Bless!

  3. Thank you for commenting:

@Gabrielle: I checked out your blog, it's great!

@Shelly: Thank you so much for your praise and insights!

I do tend to hold others to a very high standard, but am working on making that more realistic :)

Yes, I noticed that the sound was cutting out in places but opted against a retake for authenticity's sake (I'll try sitting closer to the mic next time).

Thank you for your care and wisdom! That means a lot to me :) Yes, there's a fine balance between guarding one's heart and being open to love.

  4. Abigail,
You are a very insightful young lady. The tables have turned, and I find I can learn a lot from you.
    Love, Mom

  5. Hello Abigail!! I loved your vlog/blog. I think that you have an awesome insight in regards to yourself and who you are.
I love reading your posts and I loved seeing you and hearing your voice.
I also wanted to invite you to check out my blog. I think we have similar interests.

  6. @Kimberly: Wow, Mamage, that means so much to me! Thank you <3

@Ana: I'm so glad you liked it! I'm following your blog now :)

  7. This vlog was great as well as the second one you did. :) Very insightful, and yes...I'm like you too sometimes! But like you, I'm working on recognizing these areas in my life so that I can work to change them.
