Frosty Mornings Pics

Lately we've had some extra-lovely mornings here on the fifteen acres, where everything is covered with ice and frost. It always amazes me how winter can transform nature, even without any snow. Every commonplace branch and blade of grass is born anew into a beauty and elegance one would never have suspected. I'm posting some of my favorite pictures that I've taken around in the meadows, woods, and gardens lately, to give you an idea of what I mean.

Here's a humble bit of swiss chard

A close-up of the lavender in my garden

A little weed out by our pond

Juniper berries

A leafy vine

Beautiful little red leafed plant

I apologize for not being more botanically specific, but who needs complex Latin taxonomy when a picture is worth a thousand words?

Merry Christmas!
